Genetic engineering is the type of biotechnology in which genes are transfer from one organism to another to produce organism which produce our desirable products.
Insulin which was produce before genetic engineering by the pancreas of cow .Now through genetic engineering insulin is produced by bacteria which is more convenient method.
Before Genetic engineering HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE was produced by brain of goats ,500000 brains of goats were used to produce 5mg human growth hormone. NOW through Genetic engineering it is produce by using E. coli bacteria which is more convenient and cheap.
